An amazing story of God’s transformative power at work in Kenya through Kadalest CN member Tonny Kibet.

A first boat, manned by a crew of one, zig zags and moves forward ever so slowly, painstakingly in fact; a point of frustration. A second boat, manned by a crew of 3 rowers, guided by a crew chief and an experienced captain, shoots through the water, making rapid progress, seemingly with ease, reaching the opposite bank in record time.

This boating story is a helpful analogy for understanding the importance of building support teams in ministry.

Love is an action verb. It most completely expressed in community. Our contemporary culture cultivates a spirit of narcissism and ambivalence that is robbing us of the benefits of engaging in loving community. How can we disrupt the status quo and recapture the image of loving community depicted in scripture?
